Product Overview:

This versatile instrument has been used for a wide variety of applications, some of these include: Asymmetric fault currents occurring in power systems that typically comprise a slow exponential decay dc component, with an ability to thus measure small currents at 50/60Hz. Moreover, it has the ability to measure AC currents of 1A to 300,000 A. This ability to offer an extended low frequency is also translated in the ability to measure low bandwidths of between 0.1 Hz to 6 Hz.
Consequently, the DC decay has a resultant droop offset of less than 0.8% of peak current. What this means is that, while minimising the phase shift and droop, the device is also able to maintain a good high frequency bandwidth. Secondly, since the instrument is generally used in situations where there is high sensitivity, it means that the CWT LF can still maintain good accuracy with conductor position in the loop, as well as very low noise floor.
Review of Key specifications
With either a standard cable length (coil to integrator), the device also gives technicians the ability to have custom length cable as well. Moreover, as we have already alluded, since the device has been enabled to measure small currents, the CWT LF can thus measure sinusoidal currents with significantly lower phase shift and long pulses of current with significant lower values of droop. Other features include, a typical full-scale linearity of ± 0.05%, a typical accuracy that has a traceable calibration of ± 0.2% with conductor central in the loop, as well as an extremely low phase error from 10Hz up to several 100kHz.
